Reduce Costs Without Reducing Supply

If you regularly order the same CNC machined components, you're probably paying more per part than you need to — and carrying more inventory than you want.

Our stockholding service solves both problems. You agree a batch quantity upfront, we manufacture in an efficient production run, and then hold the finished stock at our facility in Leighton Buzzard. You call off parts as needed and pay on dispatch.

The economics are straightforward: larger production runs mean lower setup costs per part, better material pricing, and optimised machining cycles. You get the per-part savings of a big batch without the cash flow hit of paying for it all at once or the burden of warehousing it yourself.

And when an unexpected order comes in? Your parts are already manufactured, inspected and ready to ship — typically within 24-48 hours.

Why Stockholding Works

Batch economies

Lower Per-Part Cost

Ordering in larger batches means more efficient production runs. Setups are amortised across more parts, raw material is bought in bulk, and machining cycles are optimised. You pay less per component without committing to a single large delivery.

Pay on call-off

Reduced Cash Flow Pressure

Instead of paying for a large batch upfront and holding stock on your premises, you call off parts as needed and are invoiced on dispatch. Your cash stays in the business until you actually need the components.

We hold it for you

Less On-Site Inventory

We hold the stock at our Leighton Buzzard facility. You receive only what you need, when you need it. No warehouse space required, no inventory management overhead, no risk of parts degrading in storage.

24-48hr dispatch

Emergency Stock Access

Unforeseen orders happen. With components already manufactured and held in our facility, we can dispatch emergency stock rapidly — often within 24-48 hours. No waiting for a new machining run.

How It Works

A simple four-step process from agreed quantities to delivered parts.

01

Agree Quantities

We agree on an annual or periodic quantity based on your forecast. This allows us to plan production runs efficiently and secure the best material pricing.

02

We Manufacture

Components are machined in optimised batch sizes on our CNC milling and turning centres. Larger runs mean lower setup costs per part.

03

We Hold Stock

Finished, inspected parts are stored at our Leighton Buzzard facility, ready for dispatch. Quality is maintained in proper storage conditions.

04

You Call Off

When you need parts, you call off from held stock. We dispatch promptly — typically within 24-48 hours. You're invoiced on dispatch, not on manufacture.

Stockholding Works Best For

  • Repeat orders Components you use regularly in consistent quantities — the foundation of an efficient stockholding agreement.
  • Production line components Parts that feed into your manufacturing process. Call-off as your production schedule demands.
  • Assemblies & kits We can hold fully assembled products or kits of parts — not just individual machined components.
  • Emergency-critical spares Components where downtime is costly. Having stock manufactured and ready to ship eliminates production delays.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the call-off process work?

Once a stockholding agreement is in place, you simply contact us when you need parts. We dispatch from held stock, typically within 24-48 hours. You can call off any quantity from the agreed batch — a few parts at a time or the entire balance. Invoicing happens on dispatch, not when the parts are manufactured.

Is there a minimum order for stockholding?

We're flexible. Stockholding works best for repeat orders where you use the same components regularly, but there's no rigid minimum. We'll discuss your typical usage and agree on batch sizes that make economic sense for both sides.

What if my requirements change?

We understand that forecasts aren't always exact. If your requirements increase, we can schedule additional production runs. If they decrease, we'll work with you to adjust future quantities. The key is open communication — as a small, family-run business, we're far more flexible than larger operations.

Can you hold assembled products, not just individual parts?

Yes. Our stockholding service works for both individual CNC machined components and fully assembled products. We can machine, finish, assemble and hold completed units for call-off — giving you a true single-supplier solution from raw material to delivered product.

How do you maintain quality on parts held in stock?

All parts are inspected before entering stock. They're stored in controlled conditions at our facility. When called off, parts are checked again before dispatch. Full traceability is maintained throughout — you receive the same documentation (CoC, material certs, CMM reports) whether parts ship immediately or from held stock.

Ready to Reduce Your Per-Part Costs?

Tell us which components you order regularly and we'll put together a stockholding proposal showing the per-part savings and call-off terms.
